Commanding Fashion
I can’t really remember a time where buckles, structure and laces didn’t have an influence in fashion. Utilitarian influences always have seemed to make an impression on trends and continue to do so. The three choice for booties below are adorable – pair it with a long button down loose dress, bangles and wavy hair – perfection.

Fashion Trend – Strong Shoulders
images via( iluvwildfox & shopbop)
The 80s are not going anywhere, at least for a while. Let’s embrace it. I’m really starting to love this look of STRONG shoulders and cut outs are finding a little place in my heart as well (post to come on this soon.) H & M has some really great options right now in stores.

What are you doing with your hair today?

Look #1: BIG Beautiful Waves (picture #5)
Feeling Achieved: 70′s chic
How to pull off: Straighen your hair as normal or to almost dry state. Braid your hair into 1 inch thing braids before your go to sleep. In the morning spray some hair spray and loosen braids with your hands.
** Keep the braids all similar in size to keep the wave even.
Look #2: Tassled bed head (picture #1)
Feeling Achieved: I’m chic without even trying
How to pull off: Some of us literally can do this by just waking up. However, if you don’t have the bed head hair you desire, one of the tricks is to get the volume. Try a volume enhancing shampoo. When blowdrying, turn your
hair upsidedown and use your fingers not a brush. Don’t flat iron! Leave the look undone. Add a few curls to here and there with the larges curling iron you have. Take your fingers through the curls to loosen them up almost to straight. Spray some
gloss and hair spray and your done!
Look #3: One Big Braid (picture # 2, 4 , 6)
Feeling Achieved : Hippie chic (loose) or biker chic (tight bid braid)
How to pull off: This look was all over the Alexander Wang runway last Fall for his Spring RTW 2010 collection. One big braid can be done if a few different ways, but right now the side swoop it in force! Loosely pull your hair to the side and one loose braid down pulled down to the front. As the braid loosens up through the night, don’t fix it, loose and messy is when it’s at it’s best!!
Vintage coat that will transition your wardrobe.
Dude, such studs.
The platform disco divas are back. Jeffrey Campbell is being very aggressive with this shape. Yes, we all know platforms rock but are you liking the studs? Rocker cool or over done?
I think these are pretty hot, and they seem to be rather popular since they are sold out already! I have a feeling these will be showing up on blogs everywhere very soon…

Fall 2010 Trends – Soft Tones in Creams, Pinks, and Browns
Subdued, not over done and classy. Soft tones in creams, soft pinks and browns make for an easy vintage inspired look. Loving the nude shoes paired with creams and browns and big curly hair. “Chic, standout and vintage cool” These looks are beautiful!

Fall 2010 Trend – Big Hair, 70s Prints and Jumpers.
Vintage 70s inspired prints, I adore. They are subtle enough to not be overdone. Big wavy hair is and minimal makeup is a must.
Don’t know if I can wait! Slightly into it, slightly…
